First, our apologies for taking 5 months off from the blogging world. No excuses. The main reason is that Scott was the one doing all the blogging. I, have since read a tutorial or two and am committed to keeping this updated. One of my main motivations is my friends' and family's blog sites. They are great and I noticed that many of them refer their readers to our stale dusty ol' blog. I am afraid we will loose our links if I don't get to it. So we have much to update. Over the next little while I will post photos from this past year.
In the past five months we have sold our home, moved to Florida, given up a steady income only to take out more student loans for a two year Orthodontics residency. Oh, and did I mention we are pregnant again? But we wouldn't have it any other way. Our time here in Jacksonville has been quite wonderful meeting new friends, hanging pictures on empty walls, exploring the nearby rivers and beaches, and new schools, lessons and activities for the kiddos. Our two years here feels somewhat like a long vacation. Here are some moments you've missed.

Did someone ask for a massive update?
Just had to drop these pics on. One of Luke's first encounters with a sucker.
Scraped apples anyone?
Scott's Grandmother, Grandma Beth, is known for scrapping apples for the littles ones. I don''t know how long this tradition has gone on, but I do know that she has scrapped and scrapped for each of my kids. This tells you quite a bit about the kind of Grandmother she is. She is truly more giving and selfless than you will ever know. I don't leave her house without a fantastic foot rub and some kind of seasonal sliced fresh fruit. Always a perfect afternoon.
Luke is joined by his cousin Charley for a feast of Fuji Apples.
The two men in my life.
Scott beleives he has been kicked to the curb since Luke was born. Now how can this be true? There is a way that Luke gazes at me that even my girls never did. I catch myself often just watching him alone in the playroom lining up his cars one by one and pulling every book off the shelf to find "Dora goes to the Beach". What Scott doesn't know is that I get caught in his stare just as easily. I can't help but watch him wrestle his kids on the floor for 'Daddy Time' after he comes home from school. Not to mention all of the times I sit quietly in the next rooom as he plays "Moonlight Sonata" on the piano. "How lucky am I" I think to myself. I have decided no one has been kicked to the curb, I have only made room for two.
